Is there a Cure For Acne?

Have you ever considered what it would feel like to wake every morning and not worry about what your face looked like because you know that you skin is always fresh and unblemished?

My guess is that you can only dream of that scenario!

What if you could take a summer trip down to the beach and go swimming without ever having to worry about the embarrassment of ugly looking acne…well this is exactly what countless people do during the warmer months and if your acne stops you from doing so then you are missing out big time!

Well listen up…you can go swimming down the beach if you really want to by simply learning how to get rid of acne the right way! Irrespective of what you may have heard, or read, your acne is completely curable but knowing how to to really cure acne isn’t something you can get out of a bottle of miracle treatment from the local pharmacy, there’s a whole lot more to it. What is amazing is that there are so few people that actually know about this.

Let’s start off with a couple of acne myth busters:

  1. Acne isn’t caused by keeping your skin clean (although keeping your skin clean will certainly help!)
  2. There is no evidence to prove that acne is caused by foods high in fat content, so pizza and chocolate needn’t come off the menu, however, it is still a good idea to limit your intake of fatty foods because if they are eaten excessively they will make the symptoms of your acne far worse.

How Are Acne Spots Formed?

Acne is the result of a sequence of events. Firstly, excessive amounts of the skins natural oil, sebum are produced by the sebaceous glands this excess oil mixes with dead skin cells which then starts to clog the pores of the skin. This blockage of the skin pore attracts bacteria which after a short while, if left untreated, will cause the skin to become inflamed.

Why Do the Sebaceous Gland Over Produce Sebum?

Unfortunately there is no single answer to this question however, the main reason, particularly in adolescents but also in menopausal and pregnant women, is the imbalance between two hormones; estrogen and testosterone. However, hormonal imbalance cannot be held responsible for the increasing number of cases of adult acne and this is why the list of causes is continuously expanding. This growing list of acne causes is the main reason why so many over-the-counter treatments have been rendered next to useless, providing at best a very short term benefit.

Acne Treatment or Cure?

It goes without saying that the vast majority of people, when aced with an outbreak of acne, will seek help from the shelves of their local pharmacy which are overwhelmed with hundreds of different treatments that all declare that they will cure your acne almost immediately! To be totally honest here I will state that a good number of the treatments that are available are effective, to a degree, in the treatment of acne blemishes, however, many can also have side effects that are none too pleasant.

The overuse of the word ‘cure’ in the promotion of topical acne treatments is unfortunate never mind misleading, it is also responsible for acne sufferers, desperate to get rid of their acne, buying product after product under false pretenses.

This may sound a little strong but unless a pharmacy treatment treats the actual cause of acne and not just the physical symptoms, a cure it is not!

How to Get Rid Of Acne – Getting Started

Although the temptation can be great to rush out and buy the newest ‘miracle cure’ from the pharmacy shelf…don’t! Instead of putting your hard earned money into the pockets of the pharmaceutical companies (which are full enough already…believe me) start looking at a total treatment method that will help you to cure your acne naturally.

As I said earlier in this post, the cause of acne is deep rooted and to cure your acne it is this that needs to be treated. The first step in freeing yourself from acne and starting the healing process is to improve your diet you can do this by cutting out all the junk food, replacing it with food rich in fiber and vitamins. You should drink plenty of water too, at least 8 glasses a day this will assist in flushing out toxins and keeping your skin hydrated. Sleep shouldn’t be underestimated either, ensuring you get plenty of it will ensure your immune system is strengthened.

There are many other steps that need to be implemented in order to completely learn how to get rid of acne for good as well as diet and sleep and using a clinically proven system is the easiest way to complete these steps and guarantee the subsequent success.
